World Malaria Day – 25 April

World Malaria Day is a chance to shine a spotlight on the global effort to control malaria. Each year, Roll Back Malaria (RBM) and partner organisations unite around a common World Malaria Day theme. This years theme is “Invest in the future: defeat malaria”.

Malaria is preventable and curable and despite recent progress, about half the world’s population still lives in malaria risk areas. Malaria remains a leading cause of death amongst young children, about 1 child every 60 secs.
