The Department of Conservation is running courses for those who want to work or volunteer in conservation.
Field based courses – DOC field courses are delivered by the Nelson Marlborough Institute of Technology (NMIT) in partnership with DOC. Field based courses are face-to-face practical courses for anyone that works, wants to work or volunteer in conservation. DOC online training courses – DOC online training courses scan be done by anyone, anytime, and are free of charge. There are a variety of courses to choose from including Introduction to Natural Heritage, Field Skills, Animal Ecology and Bird Identification to name a few.
