Purple Cake Day is screening “A Small Act” to fundraise for the Kenyan charity featured in the film, the Hilde Back Education Fund, along with children’s education initiatives in Haiti and Nepal.
A Small Act is a compelling story of how one small act can change lives. The feature-length documentary follows the intersecting lives of a Holocaust survivor in Sweden, the Kenyan man whose education she funded and three hard-working, endearing children from poor families in rural Kenya.
The screening will be held Sunday 26 October, 4pm, WOW Museum. Cost: $20 per ticket. This includes entry to the museum, complimentary glass of wine and nibbles.
