Mental Health Awareness Week is 6 – 12 October 2014.

The theme for Mental Health Awareness Week this year is ‘Keep Learning’ – one of the Five Ways to Wellbeing.

The Elma Turner Library community corner has been secured to promote “ Learning for Wellbeing’.

What new experiences can our community embrace?

Your organisation/service is invited to promote itself, to provide information and a ‘ taste’ of activities available. You can have a ‘slot’ of an hour, more or less at various times through this week.

Please contact Hilary Genet at 5437933 or hilary.genet@nmdhb.govt.nz for times during this week.

For some inspiration here’s a great project happening on the West Coast with CDHB health promoter Sarah Harvey:

For other ideas and to order free posters and postcards, check out the information from the Mental Health Foundation www.mentalhealth.org.nz . Please note, orders need to be to them by 30th August.

If you would like any Nelson Tasman Mental Health Awareness Week events promoted, please email the information through to Sue Bateup sue@healthaction.org.nz by September 15th.

Please forward this information on to your networks as appropriate.
