Safeguarding children and young people in a digital world requires
an understanding of the challenges they face on the Internet.
A close look at the dangers young people are exposed to when using
Digital Communication Technology inappropriately. Solutions to reduce risk
are discussed and debated with the attendees.
Real accounts of traumatic situations involving the family, schools and victims
are discussed.
Duration: 2.5 hours, including question time.
Topics include:
Sexual Predation / Online Grooming
Sexting
Real-world Theft
Cyber bullying
Social Networks
Policy and it’s importance
