Clean out the Toy Box to Help Youth

The Rotary Club of Stoke – Tahunanui will be holding its fourth annual Toy Fair on the 23rd & 24th of November. It will take place over those two days at the Nelson Musical Theatre Complex at 95 Atawhai Drive Nelson, next door to Founders Heritage Park.

The doors at the Theatre will be open from 10.30am till 1pm on Saturday and from 10am till 4pm on Sunday to tie in with the ‘Great Christmas Market’ being held at Founders Heritage Park.

Spokesperson for the Club, Past President John Jellyman, said the continuing success of last year’s Toy Fair was great for the organizers. “But it again leaves us with the task of trying to find as many pre-loved toys for this year’s toy fair.”

“We do need your support, so now is the time to spring clean your toy boxes and closets and drop off suitable hard toys or puzzles and so on. Slightly damaged toys were welcome as we may be able to repair them. Toys can be left at any Summit Real Estate Office in Richmond, Stoke, Nelson or Motueka or at the Nelson Musical Theatre, Tuesday and Thursday 10:30am to 2pm and Saturday 10:30am to 1pm. Or if you wish to have them picked up, then just telephone John on 03 547 3408.

All money raised will go towards supporting local youth into placements in Rotary Youth projects and the Nelson Musical Theatre.
